Ian Poveda is among four high profile players who Sunderland will allow to leave this summer. The winger, along with Nazariy Rusyn, Abdoullah Ba and Hemir are all available for transfer.
Head coach Regis Le Bris revealed that none of the senior players who played for the development squad in the first friendly at Gateshead on Saturday feature in his plans for the coming season.
Joe Anderson and Jay Matete were among that number so they too will be allowed to depart the Stadium of Light.
Sunderland fans will not be surprised at the news with none of those playes making an impact for Le Bris in his first season.
Timothee Pembele is another Sunderland player who is expected to depart this summer, as is Pierre Ekwah, who is closing in on a permanent move to Saint Etienne.
While Le Bris couldn’t have been any clearer on his position with the senior players who were involved at Gateshead on Saturday, there are a group of other players, who were part of the first-team squad for the second friendly at South Shields, whose futures are yet to be decided.

They include Nectar Triantis, who is wanted by Hibs on the back of his loan spells in Scotland, as well as clubs in Europe and the MLS, and others such as the likes of Milan Aleksic, Harrison Jones and the fit-again Ahmed Abdullahi, who could potentially benefit from loan spells.
Abdullahi signed a four-year contract last summer and is yet to kick a ball for the first team in a competitive fixture.
“We’ll see for every player,” Le Bris told reporters after seeing his side brush aside South Shields 4-0 win at the 1st Cloud Arena.
“I told them that the first two weeks we are dedicated to connection. After that we’ll have to be clear.
“Some of them need game time but if it’s not possible for the squad in the Premier League it’s not necessary to stay here. We’ll decide early.”
