Bayern Munich have been heavily linked with a move for Luis Diaz in the summer transfer window, but it will not be easy to lure him away from Anfield.
After missing out on Nico Williams and Bradley Barcola, the Reds winger has emerged as a top priority target for Bayern.
Diaz was outstanding for Liverpool last season, scoring 17 goals in all competitions.
He was absent during Liverpool’s pre-season clash against Preston North End, but it has nothing to do with his future. He was rested along with other key players.

According to a report from Bild, Diaz has already agreed personal terms with Bayern.
Bayern now need to reach an agreement with Liverpool. The Bavarian club have submitted a bid worth €52m [£44.8m] for Luis Diaz, but it was rejected.
Christian Falk informed CFBayern that the German giants can go upto €60m [£51.6m] plus possible bonuses for Diaz, but that may not be enough to secure his signature.
It has also been suggested that Diaz has a gentleman’s agreement to leave Liverpool if they receive a fee of around £69m.
However, journalist Ben Jacobs has claimed that Liverpool are adamant that the player is not for sale. The Reds have no plans to discuss a potential transfer for the Colombian winger with Bayern or Barcelona.
Why are Liverpool refusing to sell Luis Diaz
Diaz has a contract at Anfield until 2027, and Liverpool are in no rush to sell him.
Liverpool’s transfer plans have been disrupted following the tragic death of Diogo Jota. The Reds may not want to sell any more forwards this summer, and that looks to be the case at the moment.
The market price is also another key factor. Chelsea and Tottenham Hotspur paid over £53m to sign Joao Pedro and Mohammed Kudus, and therefore Bayern can hardly expect to get Diaz on the cheap.
If Bayern fail to sign Diaz, they could turn their attention towards signing Arsenal winger Leandro Trossard, who could arrive at a decent price.
