Danny Ings was no doubt a flop at West Ham.
The 32-year-old moved to the London Stadium in 2023 but failed to impress.
During his two and a half seasons with the Hammers, the striker only hit the back of the net five times despite making 69 appearances.
As a result, West Ham released Ings at the end of the 2024/25 campaign. However, the former England international looks set to find a new club quickly.

Ings ‘on the verge’ of signing for Middlesbrough
With it being clear that the striker is no longer good enough for the Premier League, Ings had been backed to sign for a Championship club this summer.
Now, this could become a reality, after Daily Telegraph journalist Luke Edwards reported via X (14 July) that the former West Ham flop is “on the verge” of signing for Middlesbrough.

If all goes through, Ings will become the first signing of the Rob Edwards era as the former Luton Town manager looks to guide Boro back to the Premier League.
Luke Edwards also backed Ings to succeed at Middlesbrough, stating that the 32-year-old would be a “really good signing”.
Edwards may be able to get the best out of Ings
While Ings did struggle at West Ham, the striker still has time to enjoy the twilight years of his career.
The 32-year-old was clearly a clinical striker at his previous clubs, and if Edwards can recover this form, he will be a fantastic asset for Boro.

Premier League football is no doubt the aim for Middlesbrough, and Ings’ experience could also be key to finding this success.
The former England international previously won promotion to the top-flight with Burnley in the 2013/14 campaign, where he netted 26 times in all competitions.
A repeat of this would no doubt give Boro an excellent chance of returning to the Premier League for the first time since 2017.
