Real Madrid could offer Liverpool their promising starlet Arda Guler in a shock swap deal for Alexis Mac Allister, according to Fichajes.
The Spanish club are believed to have identified Mac Allister as their desired signing in midfield and are exploring ways to bring him to the Santiago Bernabeu this summer.
With Luka Modric’s departure to AC Milan, Real are said to be targeting a player who can provide both quality and leadership in midfield and believe Mac Allister fits the profile ‘perfectly’.
Liverpool are said to be demanding a high transfer fee for the £180,000-a-week Argentina international’s departure this summer, standing at around €100m (£87m).

According to Fichajes, Real Madrid view Liverpool’s asking price of €100m as ‘high’ and are considering offering young players, including Guler, in exchange to try and lower the fee.
Mac Allister, who joined Liverpool in the summer of 2028, has so far shown no signs of wanting to leave but could reportedly be attracted by the possibility of playing under Xabi Alonso next season.
Guler, meanwhile, has seen an increase in minutes following the Spanish tactician’s arrival, starting in five of Real’s six games in the Club World Cup.
The ‘generational’ forward made 43 appearances for Real last season – 18 of them starts – scoring five goals and providing 10 assists.
Liverpool are expected to continue their summer spree with the arrival of a new striker, as Darwin Nunez is likely to make way for a new name up front.
The Uruguayan striker has been the subject of a £47.5m bid from Serie A winners Napoli, who remain determined to land him as their primary striker option this summer.
