Moise Kean is motivated to "keep going" at Fiorentina despite links with a transfer away.
Manchester United are in the market for a centre-forward this summer and Kean, who scored 25 goals in all competitions last season, has been linked with a move to Old Trafford.
Kean has a release clause of €52m (£45.5m) and it is believed to expire on Tuesday night.
United would have to move quickly to trigger Kean's release clause, but they could still potentially negotiate a deal with Fiorentina if they decide to act on their interest later in the window.
However, Kean was asked about his future this week and suggested he is set to stay in Italy.
“I am highly motivated to keep going here,” Kean told reporters at Fiorentina's pre-season presentation event.
“Fiorentina gave me so much and always helped me out, now it is good for me to return for this new season with new motivation and ready to give my best for Fiorentina.”
Kean was a revelation for Fiorentina last season, playing the best football of his career and racking up impressive numbers after signing for the Viola in a €18m deal from Juventus in 2024.
The 25-year-old previously played for Paris Saint-Germain on loan and spent a season with Everton. Kean has Premier League experience but wasn't a prolific scorer in England.
Kean is also said to be attracting interest from Saudi Arabia this summer, although Fiorentina are believed to have opened negotiations over a new contract to tie down the striker.
Rasmus Hojlund and Joshua Zirkzee are Ruben Amorim's only striker options at United.
