Arsenal are reportedly set to unveil their next summer signing on Tuesday
It could prove to be a decisive week for Arsenal in the transfer market as they look to complete more deals ahead of their pre-season campaign.
The Gunners kick off their preparations for the 2025-26 season with a clash against AC Milan on July 23 before taking on Newcastle United on July 27. They will then face Tottenham Hotspur in the first North London derby outside of the city on July 31.
They also have games against Villareal and Athletic Club before starting the season against Manchester United at Old Trafford.
Arsenal to announce Noni Madueke move on Tuesday
Another deal Arsenal are poised to complete is the signing of Noni Madueke from Chelsea with a deal already agreed between the clubs. Providing an update, Florian Plettenberg of Sky Sports Germany said the player is set to sign his contract on Tuesday with an official announcement to follow.
He said on X: “Noni Madueke will complete his medical with Arsenal on Monday, as reported. Everything on site is going according to plan.
“As things stand, the signing of his contract until 2030 and the announcement are planned for Tuesday.”
Madueke is set to join the Gunners in a deal worth up to £52m. £48m is the up front fee with a further £4m in add-ons. He missed Chelsea’s Club World Cup triumph over Paris Saint-Germain on Sunday in order to complete a move to North London.
Noni Madueke move sparks mixed reaction
The signing of the England international was not received well by some sections of the Arsenal support with #NoToMadueke becoming a popular hashtag last week when it was reported a deal had been agreed.
However, the player is an England international at 23 and has plenty of Premier League experience having moved to Stamford Bridge in 2023. He spent time in the youth academies at Crystal Palace and Tottenham Hotspur before moving to PSV Eindhoven in 2018, he spent five years with the Dutch club before returning to London.
