Sturm Graz have identified Manchester United goalkeeper Radek Vítek as a new target this summer.
The Austrian champions will be without their goalkeeper, Daniil Khudyakov, for a long spell after he suffered an injury. This has forced them to search the market for a new stopper and have set their sights on the Manchester United player.
That’s according to Oberösterreichische Nachrichten, relayed by Laola1, and they state Sturm Graz are now showing interest in the 21-year-old.
Last season, Vítek was on loan at another Austrian side, FC Blau-Weiß Linz, keeping seven clear sheets and conceding 38 goals from 27 games. His performances for FC Blau-Weiß Linz appear have convinced Sturm Graz to aim to sign him in this window.
The Czech stopper has returned to Manchester United, where he has a contract until 2027. Ruben Amorim and his side have to make a decision on his future and for now they are unclear what they plan to do with him.
OON now report this is a problem for Sturm Graz as they won’t be able to take further steps to sign Vítek until the Red Devils make a decision.
There’s no mention whether Sturm Graz are aiming to sign Vítek on loan or a permanent transfer.
