There’s a claim in the Turkish media that Aston Villa have named their price for Leon Bailey following reports he could be heading to Fenerbahce.
The Jamaican has been linked with the Super Lig side in recent days as they look to sign a wide attacker ahead of next season. Yesterday it was reported agents had approached the Istanbul giants to present the idea of signing the winger.
Fotomac today report on the latest developments regarding Fenerbahce’s links with the 27-year-old and state Aston Villa are open to selling the player for the right price.
According to the report, Aston Villa are looking for a transfer fee in the region of €35m.
There’s no indication if the Yellow Canaries would meet his valuation, although they are keen to strengthen in attack after loanee Allan Saint-Maximin retuned to his parent club Al-Ahli Saudi FC. Dušan Tadić has also departed after his contract expired last month.
Bailey made 38 appearances in all competitions last season, scoring two goals. He’s contracted to Aston Villa until June 2027, with the option to for another season.
