Approach made for Manchester City’s Ederson – Player interested if personal terms are met

There’s a claim in the Turkish media that Galatasaray are showing interest in Manchester City goalkeeper Ederson.

The Turkish champions are in the market for a new goalkeeper after Fernando Muslera’s contract expired last month, and the club legend departed.

Aston Villa’s Emiliano Martínez and Liverpool’s Alisson have also been linked in recent weeks. Last week there were also reports of interest in Chelsea goalkeeper Djordje Petrovic.

Yagiz Sabuncuoglu reports on the latest developments regarding Galatasaray’s search for an experienced No.1, following weeks of the club being linked with a number of players.

It’s claimed Ederson has now emerged as a target for Cimbom and Gala have contacted Manchester City to ask about his availability.

The Turkish journalist says the Brazil international would be interested in a move to Istanbul as long as his salary expectations are met. Galatasaray may be able to achieve that due to a lower level of tax for footballers in Turkey compared to most other countries.

However, there are no reports if the Premier League side would be prepared to sell 31-year-old or, if so, for what transfer fee.

Ederson made 40 appearances in all competitions last season and is contracted to Manchester City until June 2026.
