Ruben Amorim bans Man Utd bomb squad from training ground. The exiled five have been ordered back but only after the main squad has left.
Outcast United Stars Train After Hours
Manchester United manager Ruben Amorim has made it clear that there’s no place for Marcus Rashford, Alejandro Garnacho, Jadon Sancho, Antony, or Tyrell Malacia in his main squad plans. The five players are all seen as surplus to requirements this summer. They have been told to stay away from regular first-team sessions at Carrington.
Instead, they now report around 5pm. That is long after the rest of the squad has wrapped up their training and gone home. Although, they were given extra time off to sort out summer transfers. However, no deals have been sealed yet. Amorim is sticking to his decision, with no signs of bringing them in any time soon.
The main squad is gearing up for preseason games. That includes a clash in Sweden against Leeds and a three-match USA tour.
Rashford is determined to keep fit and remain match-ready. He has even been training solo in Salford gyms during the day. Garnacho has also been spotted putting in extra work. Despite the cold shoulder, the club is allowing them access to facilities, even if they’re not part of the action.
Transfer Talks Heat Up as Amorim Plans Rebuild
All five players are on the market, and Man Utd hope to cash in on them to fund new signings. Rashford is attracting interest from Barcelona. And Sancho is tipped for a move to Juventus. Meanwhile, Garnacho has turned down Saudi money while Chelsea keeps an eye on him.
Real Betis are keen to bring Antony back after his solid loan spell. In the meantime, Celtic are reportedly leading the race for Malacia.
Amorim is eyeing fresh firepower this summer, with Brentford’s Bryan Mbeumo top of the list. But a £65m deal remains on hold. For now, the focus is to trim the squad and back the new boss with a team he can call his own.
