Cristhian Mosquera says leaving Valencia makes him a “little sad” as he inches closer to completing a transfer to Arsenal.
The Gunners have agreed a £13 million transfer fee plus add-ons with the Spanish outfit following negotiations, according to Sky Sports News.
The defender, who will sign a five-year deal after personal terms were “agreed in principle”, was spotted on his way to catch a flight to London on Tuesday.
Mosquera will undergo a medical and finalise the move in the next couple of days. Arsenal are “hopeful” he will join the squad on their pre-season tour of Asia; they fly out this Saturday.

The 21-year-old centre-back effectively confirmed the transfer in an interview with Radio MARCA Valencia, admitting he is sad to leaving Valencia but excited about the prospect of moving to the Premier League.
“Valencia is my home and it always will be. I arrived when I was 12 and I’m leaving as a grown man,” he said.
“I’m a little sad because I’ve spent my whole life here. Decisions in football are like that. Now a new era begins. It’s exciting, but I’m leaving sad,” he said.
