Karl Dunbar asked for more young defensive linemen this offseason and Steelers GM Omar Khan delivered with three in the draft, including "my man Jack Sawyer," the defensive line coach said of a player who, in normal Steelers years, would be considered an outside linebacker.
Even though the days of Mike Vrabel are long gone, Dunbar was asked how his interior defensive linemen specifically had performed in spring practice.
A bit of a hollow question, since defensive linemen can't really perform without pads, but performance hadn't been the primary concern of Dunbar's. At least not yet.
