Arsenal are showing interest in a summer move for AC Milan forward Rafael Leao, journalist Ben Jacobs has revealed.
The Gunners have reportedly identified the Portuguese winger as an alternative to Real Madrid star Rodrygo, although the arrival of either player would likely require a departure in the current squad.
Arsenal would reportedly need to part ways with either Leandro Trossard or Gabriel Martinelli to accommodate a new left-sided attacker, with Chelsea winger Noni Madueke also now set to join.
The England international is expected to undergo the final part of his medical this week after the clubs reached an agreement over a £52m move.

According to Jacobs, Leao is currently seen as a firm option on Arsenal’s left-wing shortlist, alongside Rodrygo and Newcastle’s Anthony Gordon.
With Madueke’s arrival now imminent, Arsenal are expected to shift their focus to a more central playmaker and are reportedly preparing a move for Crystal Palace star Eberechi Eze.
Leao, who joined Milan from Lille in 2019, has three years remaining on his contract at San Siro, which runs until June 2028.
The Portugal international, praised as 'electrifying' by Kim McCauley, scored 12 goals and provided 13 assists in 50 appearances for Milan last season.
Arsenal are also finalising a deal for Viktor Gyokeres from Sporting, with an agreement between the clubs expected in the coming days.
The Gunners will reportedly pay €63.5m plus a further €10m in add-ons for the Sweden international after a breakthrough in talks over the payment structure.
