Liverpool have reportedly turned down an improved bid for Luis Diaz with Bayern Munich stepping up their pursuit of the Reds winger. He is said to be angling for a summer exit despite being tied down until 2027. Reports have suggested that Diaz has informed Liverpool chiefs that he wants to leave Anfield before the start of the new Premier League season.
He was linked with Barcelona earlier in the window but Bayern Munich now appear to have moved into pole position. Diaz is said to have already struck an agreement on personal terms with the German champions. According to Bild, they recently submitted an opening offer worth around £44.8million but Liverpool swiftly rejected the proposal.
Now, it has been claimed that Bayern have gone back in for Diaz with an improved bid. They have offered a new figure of £58.6m but it has already been turned down by Liverpool, according to The Athletic.
