Tuanzebe Takes Legal Action Against Man United

Axel Tuanzebe is suing Man United for their mistake over a medical advice he received during his time at the club.

Former Red Devil Axel Tuanzebe Takes Old Club to Court

Burnley defender Axel Tuanzebe played for Manchester United from his childhood through to 2022. Now, he has filed a lawsuit against his parent club. He accuses the club of breaching its duty of care to him in respect of two different courses of medical treatment, as per The Telegraph.

The defender took the club’s captaincy at youth level as he grew up at Utd. He is understood to have filed the claim at the High Court. According to reports, it was filed nearly two years ago. He claims the club was negligent because of inadequacies in medical advice that contributed to injuries.

Tuanzebe’s legal team and Man Utd have both declined to comment on the matter. This comes at the end of a career at Old Trafford that has been regularly affected by injuries after surgery on both of his achilles tendons. His best memory came at the highest level when he played against PSG in the Champions League. But, he will look back at his tenure with just 37 senior appearances before he left for £5m in 2023.

Injury Struggles and Lost Potential

Tuanzebe’s troubles began in 2019 with a hip injury during a warm-up against Liverpool. From there, things spiraled. He suffered a setback in the Carabao Cup, followed by a foot injury and several more physical issues that stopped him from getting a regular run in the side. Even during loan spells at Aston Villa, Napoli, and Stoke, he couldn’t avoid the treatment table.

After joining Ipswich and then Burnley, the player played more matches in two seasons than he did in his entire senior stint at Man Utd.

Now, Tuanzebe appears committed to getting back into the game. He also wants to get his former club to accept their alleged major medical errors.
