Arsenal boss Mikel Arteta
£34m Arsenal star Fabio Vieira could be set for a summer move away from the club, with GIVEMESPORT sources revealing that his agent is actively working on finding a solution, amid growing interest across Europe.
The 25-year-old has struggled to establish himself in boss Mikel Arteta’s preferred starting line-up since arriving from Porto in 2022 and, with the Gunners pushing forward in the transfer market, opportunities in midfield could become even more limited next season.

Vieira’s camp is now exploring potential options for regular first-team football away from Arsenal. Talks have already been held with several clubs, including sides from Turkey and Germany’s top divisions. These early discussions remain at an exploratory stage, but there is genuine interest in giving the technically gifted midfielder a fresh start.
Premier League sides are also monitoring the situation, following his return to the Emirates Stadium after a loan spell at Porto, with at least one London-based manager believed to be a long-time admirer of Vieira’s qualities.
One Serie A club has indicated a willingness to negotiate a permanent deal, proposing a fee of around €18million, similar to the structure of the Nuno Tavares move. However, sources tell GIVEMESPORT that Arsenal are not keen on that kind of valuation, and would be reluctant to let Vieira leave on cut-price terms.

Meanwhile, a Bundesliga outfit has enquired about the possibility of a loan, though those talks are said to be in the early stages and dependent on other moving pieces in the market.
Vieira remains a player Arsenal rate highly in terms of raw ability, but injuries and the form of others around him have made it difficult for him to find a consistent rhythm in north London. With just two Premier League starts during the 2023/24 season, it’s becoming increasingly clear that regular football may need to come elsewhere if his development is to continue.
For now, no final decision has been made, but as interest builds and conversations progress, this is very much one to keep an eye on as the transfer window unfolds.
