Tolisso on Manchester United’s Radar

Manchester United open surprise transfer talks to sign Corentin Tolisso. The French midfielder has caught the eye as the Red Devils look to reshape their squad this summer.

United Plot Move for World Cup-Winning Midfielder Tolisso

Manchester United have reportedly started talks to sign Lyon’s Corentin Tolisso. The club is looking to give new head coach Ruben Amorim the tools to fix their poor side.

After a disappointing season, they only have made one signing so far of Matheus Cunha from Wolves. The fans are growing restless. With rival clubs already active in the market, Man Utd are under pressure to make key additions.

Early stages of contact have taken place with Tolisso’s agents as per L’Equipe. The midfielder has played in many big matches, and in those matches has won countless trophies – including a Champions League title and multiple Bundesliga titles with Bayern Munich and won the World Cup with France in 2018.

The interest in the Frenchman is serious. With good experience and positional flexibility, Tolisso is a worthy option. He is all in for a deal with United, but he has no intention of pressing Lyon. The Ligue 1 club has been with him since he was 13.

Lyon Keen to Keep Star, But Red Devils Remain Hopeful

Lyon’s management view Tolisso as a key in their rebuilding plans under new coach Paulo Fonseca. He has a deal until June 2027 as well. They want him to stay and build a new team around him. The Red Devils still have an interest. If a fee of around 10m euros (£8.7m) is enough to keep discussions alive, then it will be worth pursuing.

Earlier in the year Tolisso rejected offers from Turkish clubs. But, there is also rumours of interest from the Saudi Pro League which may change the situation.
