TOM CAIRNEY definitely won't be joining Wrexham this summer.

Fulham captain Cairney has been linked with Phil Parkinson's Reds who are preparing for life in the Championship next season after securing an historic third successive promotion.

However, Cairney has signed a new 12-month contract which will extend his stay at Fulham into an 11th year since signing from Blackburn Rovers.

The 34-year-old midfielder celebrated a decade at Craven Cottage last month and made his 350th appearance for the Londoners last season.

He told FFCtv: “I’m happy to sign for another year at this amazing football club, I’m delighted. It feels brilliant. It feels right. It’s always been home.

“I’ve fully enjoyed the last three years in the Premier League, contributing on and off the pitch, and I just want to help take this club as far as I can. I’ll always try and do that.”
