Liverpool are still on the hunt for ways to improve their team as they head into the 2025-26 season.
The Merseyside outfit are the reigning Premier League champions, with each addition they’ve made so far only making them tougher to beat.
Florian Wirtz is arguably the Reds’ most impressive signing, with the young German costing them around £116million to bring in.

And now, it seems like Arne Slot could be readying himself to enter yet another bidding war for another sought-after player.
Liverpool set to enter the transfer race for Rodrygo this summer
Real Madrid’s Rodrygo has had his future heavily questioned over the last week or so after Xabi Alonso made it abundantly clear that he wasn’t in his plans.
The attacker was once called “gifted” by teammate Jude Bellingham, as the attacker contributed to 25 goals across all competitions last term.
And now, as per a report from Foot Mercato journalist Santi Aouna, it seems like Liverpool are set to enter the race for the transfer of the Brazilian.
“Exclusive, Liverpool are expected to enter in the race soon for Rodrygo,” he wrote via his personal X account.
“Arne Slot appreciates a lot the player.”
Rodrygo could be an ideal Luis Diaz replacement
With there still being well over a month left in the transfer window, plenty of changes are likely to still occur at Anfield this summer.
And, while Liverpool may have already made close to £200million worth of additions this summer, it doesn’t feel like they’re stopping any time soon.
Slot has also just rejected an offer from Bayern Munich for Luis Diaz worth around £58.5million, with the Bundesliga giants likely to put in yet another bid.
And, although Liverpool may have rejected their initial offer, they currently rate him at around €100million (£86.7million), so if an offer in that region came to light, they’d likely be persuaded to sell.

With that in mind, it makes complete sense for Liverpool to go after Rodrygo, especially since he’s only 24 years old.
Of course, only time will tell what the future has in store, but the fact that he can play across the front three will no doubt be a major factor in Slot’s appreciation for him.
Here’s hoping Liverpool make a move for the attacker over the next week or so.
