During his many years in the NBA, Paul Pierce battled a slew of tough opponents, and some of them became Hall of Famers.
Pierce had his work cut out for him, but certain competitors were harder than others.
Speaking to All The Smoke Productions, Pierce hailed Manu Ginobili of the San Antonio Spurs, saying that no one could move and pass like him.
“Manu, I ain’t gonna lie, he’s one of the top-five most difficult players that I’ve had to guard. Long hair Ginobili was one of the best players in the league. If he wasn’t in San Antonio, he would’ve been a 10-time All Star,” Pierce said.

Ginobili is considered one of the best bench players of all time.
There is a reason he’s in the Hall of Fame, and it’s evident every time someone watches a highlight reel of his career.
During his 16 years in the league, Ginobili produced an average of 13.3 points, 3.5 rebounds, and 3.8 assists.
He was always providing the Spurs with whatever they needed.
His ability to carve a path to the basket was sensational, and Pierce noted how the defense couldn’t slow him down.
On top of that, Ginobili was a master when it came to finding teammates.
He could pass the ball from across the court, often through the legs of opponents.
He got his start playing international basketball, but then came to the NBA and began his time with the Spurs.
That was when Ginobili took things to a whole other level and became one of the most exciting guards in the game.
Years later, people still talk about Ginobili and the way he played basketball.
Pierce faced off against so many icons of the game, but few left the impression that Ginobili did.
