Manchester City could step up interest in rising star – Potential next Lucas Bergvall

Manchester City could be one of the sides set to make a move for Djurgårdens IF youngster Matias Siltanen.

That’s [according to Italehti](https://www.iltalehti.fi/jalkapallo/a/2a404ca7-67d8-4999-ad3c-3591de72d2f0), who report that the 18-year-old has a growing list of Premier League suitors and Manchester City are one of them.

They explain that several clubs in England are interested in acquiring the Finnish talent in this summer transfer window.

He moved from Kuopio Palloseura to Djurgårdens IF in January for around €1m and signed a three-year contract with the Stockholm club. There was Premier League interest at the time, with reports stating that Manchester City were keen.

His price tag has now increased to as much as €20m, with comparisons being made to Tottenham’s Lucas Bergvall. His official price was €10m but bonuses mean that can easily be doubled.

Djurgårdens IG seem to see Siltanen as the next Bergvall and are eyeing up a major move, particularly if the Premier League steps up its interest. There’s nobody named specifically yet, but the mention of Manchester City’s interest in January is a clear hint they could be one of the buyers.

They’ve been hoovering up talent around the world for years and perhaps the midfielder is the next on their radar. Maybe Tottenham could take a look too.
