George Kittle and Kyle Juszczyk had a blast at celebrity golf tournament

The San Francisco 49ers have training camp coming up, so players are wrapping up their last bit of fun before getting down to business. Tight end George Kittle and fullback Kyle Juszczyk competed in a celebrity golf event over the weekend and looked to have a blast.

The American Century Championship takes place every year in Tahoe and assembles celebrities from the world of sports and entertainment to play in a golf tournament. It is always fun to see athletes partake in a sport that is not their normal domain, so to see Kittle and Juice out there was fun.

Kittle was throwing passes to fans on the beach alongside one of the holes and he also autographed a baby because of course he did. Kittle is nothing if not a man of the people.

Juszczyk talked about how hard it was when it seemed like he was going to part ways with the Niners in the offseason but how relieved he was when he was able to work out a deal to come back. Kittle and Juszczyk are good friends, so Kittle must have been thrilled that his buddy would remain in San Francisco.

Kittle and Juszczyk are not the only players with ties to the Niners who competed in the event. Legendary wide receiver Jerry Rice also played in it, as did Sam Darnold, who was a 49er for one season and is now the starting quarterback in Seattle for the Seahawks.

While they had their fun on the course, now their focus will turn to training camp and the season ahead. Kittle says that he is excited for camp and cannot wait to try and block 49ers rookie Mykel Williams who said it is disrepectful for tight ends to block him.

Kittle also has an opportunity to move his way up on several 49ers all-time receiving lists. While he is never going to catch many of the records set by Rice, he can still further establish himself as one of the best pass-catchers in the history of the franchise.

Of course, what Kittle and the rest of the team will truly be focused on is trying to get back to the playoffs after a rough 2024 campaign.

The team has a lot of scar tissue, but maybe that rough year was what they needed to light a fire under them again as they try to prove people wrong in 2025.
