The Leandro Trossard Bayern Swap Deal That Would See Arsenal Sign 143 G/A Winger - Opinion

Arsenal should swap Leandro Trossard with Bayern Munich for winger Kingsley Coman this summer.

The Gunners are already set to improve in the wide areas as they have agreed a five-year deal with Chelsea winger Noni Madueke. The England international will likely play as Bukayo Saka‘s backup on the right wing, which is his best position.

Furthermore, Crystal Palace attacker Eberechi Eze is a target for the left wing in order to provide some competition for Gabriel Martinelli. Leandro Trossard plays a vital depth role in Arsenal’s squad as he can play both on the left and the right, but it looks as though he could be leaving this summer.

According to recent reports, Trossard is in talks over a move to Fenerbahce in Turkey, however the Guardian are reporting that Bayern Munich are keen to, and he could snub a move to Fenerbahce in favour of them.

Arsenal should offer Trossard for Coman

If Trossard was to join Bayern this summer, it would leave a hole in Arsenal’s squad, and they would likely want to bring in a winger who can play the versatile depth role that the Belgian does.

The 30-year-old has an estimated market value of around £20m, and so the Gunners could get some cash for him, or they could offer a swap deal for Kingsley Coman, who they have been previously linked to in the Spring.

Coman, 29, has been at Bayern since 2017, and in that time, his impact has been crucial. He has made almost 340 appearances, scoring 72 goals, and providing 71 assists. The French winger has contributed to nine Bundesliga titles, a Champions League, and three domestic cups at the Allianz Arena.

Arsenal should try and swap Trossard for Coman, who can play on both wings, and has an electric burst of pace – something that the Gunners don’t have a huge amount of in their squad. His experience and ability make him the ideal replacement for Trossard.

With a market value of £26m too, his value is not too dissimilar, but realistically, the Gunners would be getting a slightly better attacker in return for Trossard, so why not give it a chance.
