New Leeds United away kit for 2025/26 leaked online – and the fans love it

The new Leeds away shirt for the 2025/26 season appears to have leaked online ahead of release.

The brand new Leeds United away shirt for the upcoming 2025/26 Premier League season appears to have leaked online after images purportedly showed the new jersey on the racks of a sportswear store in Cork.

With the somewhat unpopular home kit already revealed and on sale, we now know what the Leeds’ players will look like on their travels as they return to the top flight – and despite the broadly negative reaction which greeted the top that will be worn at Elland Road over the course of the coming year, the away shirt seems to be going down much better…

What Leeds United’s away shirt for the 2025/26 looks like – according to leaks

The photo shown above has been widely circulated on social media and supposedly shows Adidas’ brand new Leeds away shirt prematurely displayed in a store in the Republic of Ireland – and while it has not yet been verified, it suggests that Leeds will be heading back to a blue and yellow design which has graced several change shirts down the years.

In particular, the new shirt’s alternating pale and dark blue lines and yellow trim recalls Nike’s third kit for the 2001/02 and 2002/03 seasons, although the new jersey extends the yellow patterning from the sleeves and collar to the flanks of the shirt as well.

This version also features Adidas’ trademark triple stripe design across the shoulders and adds a dash of white to the shoulders themselves, the collar and the sleeve trim. The manufacturer’s logo and main sponsor’s insignia are picked out in yellow, but the club crest remains unaltered.

The shirt marks a continuation of Adidas’ move back towards more traditional designs for Leeds away shirts following more experimental efforts in the four seasons prior, which featured several unusual looks including the famous peacock kit from the 2023/24 campaign.

No launch date has been made public, but if the source of the leak is genuine then it suggests that jerseys have been shipped to retailers and that an official release is imminent. That could be good news for the many fans who seem keen to get their hands on one…

Positive reviews greet new Leeds away kit

While the 2025/26 home jersey was derided as “lazy” by many fans when it was first revealed online, the initial reaction from supporters on social media suggests that plenty of them will be happy to buy into the new blue look.

The vast majority of responses since the leak emerged on Monday evening have been positive, with some fans describing it as “a belter” and “brilliant”. Others appreciated the connection with the kits worn by the club’s successful sides of the turn of the century, although the shirt which appears to have inspired Adidas’ latest effort was only worn the year after Leeds’ remarkable run to the Champions League semi-finals in 2000/01.

It sounds as though there will be plenty of pops of blue visible in the terraces at Elland Road as Daniel Farke’s side battle to stay in the Premier League having earned promotion back to the top flight for the first time since 2023.
