Everyone is excited to see what Cooper Flagg can do for the Dallas Mavericks during his first season.
That includes head coach Jason Kidd.
Appearing on ESPN, Marc Spears read a statement from Kidd, who sounds downright elated to work with Flagg.
“Cooper Flagg is really mature for an 18-year old. Plays both ends hard. Offensively, can score and pass. He has a high IQ defensively, solid all-around, a great young man. I’m lucky to be his coach,” Spears quoted Kidd, via MFFL NATION.

Fans have now seen Flagg play twice in the NBA Summer League.
During those games, Flagg averaged 20.5 points and 5.0 rebounds.
Of course, everyone knows that the regular season is far different than the Summer League, and that is when Flagg will really be tested and prove what he can do.
Is he ready for the big league and prepared to face off against the largest and most fearsome names in the game?
Some rookies take time to adjust, and even the most exciting young prospects aren’t immediate contenders right away.
Kidd is ready to lead Flagg and has surely had some one-on-one meetings with him already.
This summer will be all about Flagg getting used to playing with his team and learning how the NBA works.
The anticipation and expectations around Flagg are sky-high, and he wants to deliver.
A lot is riding on him, and he’s well aware of that.
How will he respond to that pressure?
Kidd will play a part in how well Flagg does during his rookie campaign.
Like any good coach, he is ready to instruct him on the court but also help ease him into the wild world of professional sports.
