The report mentions that the INEOS are accelerating to strike a deal with the 23-year-old ex-PSG striker before the Magpies finalize terms. Known for his clever movement, acceleration, and link-up play, the move to Frankfurt has done the best for Ekitike’s career.
Ekitike made the move to PSG way too early in his career and hardly got any game time, which is understandable, considering it was a squad that also had Kylian Mbappe, Lionel Messi and Neymar Jr. However, in the Bundesliga, he has gotten the chance to impress, and boy hasn’t he taken it!
One of the major criticisms about Amorim’s United last season was a lack of goals from the front line. With the exception of Bruno Fernandes, no other player seemed reliable enough in front of goal and by signing Ekitike, they might be able to identify a long-term solution for the striker position.
