Chelsea have reportedly reignited their interest in signing Manchester United winger Alejandro Garnacho in the summer transfer window.

The 21-year-old is one of the five players who have informed the Red Devils that they want to leave Old Trafford in the summer.

The Argentine winger has fallen out of favour with Ruben Amorim, and he has long accepted that his future lies away from the club.

Chelsea were interested in signing Garnacho during the January window, and according to TBR Football, the Blues still retain an active interest in him.

Garnacho's representatives are working hard to find a new club for him, and Chelsea have recently held talks with the player's agents regarding a potential move.

The Blues have bolstered their attacking options this summer and have completed deals for Liam Delap, Joao Pedro and Jamie Gittens.

Enzo Maresca still wants to add new faces to the forward areas and would like to remove players who are not part of his plans.

Noni Madueke is close to completing his move to Arsenal, and Chelsea are hoping to move on from Christopher Nkunku, Joao Felix, and Raheem Sterling.

There will be room for new additions, should they leave, and the money could be invested in Garnacho.

The report claims that Premier League rivals Aston Villa are also in the race for the exciting winger, but he could prefer Chelsea due to the prospect of playing in the Champions League next season.

Garnacho has no future at Manchester United

The Argentine scored 11 goals and registered 10 assists in 58 appearances for the Red Devils in all competitions last season, and it appeared like he would become a key player under Amorim.

Their relationship broke down towards the end of the campaign, after he was used as a substitute in the Europa League final defeat against Tottenham Hotspur and subsequently omitted from Man Utd's last matchday squad against Aston Villa.

Garnacho was allegedly humiliated in front of his teammates, while the player angered the Red Devils fan base when he posted a picture on social media wearing a Villa shirt with Marcus Rashford's name on the back.

Man Utd would want close to £40m for the winger, and Chelsea should not face enough problems in matching that amount.
