Sir Jim Ratcliffe and Ineos remained firm on their telling transfer position amid the noise around two Manchester United-linked players who have release clauses.
Ruben Amorim has only seen one major Manchester United summer signing so far under British billionaire Sir Jim Ratcliffe and Ineos amid the current transfer window.
The Red Devils moved early in the summer transfer window and United completed the signing of Matheus Cunha from Premier League side Wolves in June.
United paid Wolves £62.5m for Matheus Cunha after the 26-year-old Brazil international’s sizeable release clause was triggered at his former club.
Ruben Amorim is still waiting for further signings to arrive at Old Trafford and the pressure is piling on Ratcliffe and Ineos to bring in key targets this summer.
United have been linked with Bryan Mbeumo and the Red Devils are actively chasing the 25-year-old French-born winger amid Brentford’s hardball position over their negotiations.

Sir Jim Ratcliffe and Ineos have not bothered with a transfer pursuit of Moise Kean, despite the Fiorentina star being linked with Man Utd
The Red Devils have been tipped to sign a new striker this summer and Manchester United were linked with Moise Kean, who impressed at Fiorentina last season.
Moise Kean has been at Fiorentina since 2024 after he left Juventus for the second time and the 25-year-old Italian striker is under contract with the club until 2029.
The Fiorentina and Italy forward played 44 times for the Serie A side in the 2024-25 campaign and Kean netted 25 times and had three assists to his name.
Kean has a release clause at Fiorentina that became active on 1st July, with the Italy international costing £45.5m (€52m) for only a limited time this summer.
Despite the noise around Kean this summer, there has been no official approach from United for the former Juventus and Paris Saint-Germain attacker.
Sir Jim Ratcliffe and Ineos have not pursued the Everton flop before his release clause deactivates at Fiorentina, which will come to an end after 15th July.

Inter Milan star Denzel Dumfries was linked with Man Utd and his release clause shared a similar detail to Moise Kean’s
Denzel Dumfries attracted interest from Manchester City this summer and United were also once again linked with signing the 29-year-old Dutch defender.
The former PSV Eindhoven star has impressed at the San Siro since his arrival at the Serie A club in 2021 and he is capable of playing as a full-back or as a wing-back.
Denzel Dumfries is under contract with Inter Milan until 2028 and the Netherlands international has a release clause worth €25m amid Manchester City’s interest.
The Inter ace’s release clause is similar to the one that Moise Kean has at Fiorentina, with Dumfries’ clause becoming active on 1st July and expiring after 15th July.
Despite Dumfries being able to play in Ruben Amorim’s tactical system at United, Ineos and Ratcliffe have not been dragged into a ‘race against time’ to sign him.
The Ineos regime is highlighting its firm position of only pursuing players that are absolutely essential for Amorim and not meeting deadlines over release clauses.
