Arsenal have several incredible players in their squad.

The likes of Bukayo Saka, Declan Rice and William Saliba are all among the best players in the world in their position, while players such as Gabriel Magalhaes, Martin Zubimendi, Jurrien Timber and David Raya are right up there as well.

Arsenal have some incredible young players too.

Myles Lewis-Skelly was the star of the show in the 2024/25 season, but his good pal Ethan Nwaneri is a superstar in the making as well.

Every ‘top’ club in Europe would love to sign Arsenal star Ethan Nwaneri

Nwaneri is a fan favourite at Arsenal.

The youngster made his Premier League debut when he was just 15 years old, but it was after he turned 17 that he had his breakthrough season.

The young Englishman has been in the news a lot recently because of his future. Arsenal have found it difficult to reach an agreement with Nwaneri over a new contract.

The negotiations were not straightforward at all, and Fabrizio Romano revealed that Chelsea even asked about signing Nwaneri during the Noni Madueke negotiations.

The 17-year-old is now close to signing a new deal at the Emirates after positive talks, but if he were available, Sami Mokbel has revealed that every top club on the continent would want him.

When asked about the Blues’ interest, the BBC journalist said on Latte Firm: “I think it was genuine. Chelsea’s model is to sign the best young footballers in Europe, and Ethan Nwaneri is one of the best young footballers in European football, without a shadow of a doubt.

“If there was any kind of glimmer of hope of Ethan Nwaneri being available, then Chelsea would certainly have been in the mix for that. But, they wouldn’t have been the only club, trust me, you would have all of Europe’s top clubs after him because he is held in that high regard.

“But, he wants to stay, I’m sure he wants to stay. The club wants him to stay. Everything points to them meeting in the middle at some point over the course of the next few days.

“I’d be shocked if there is a situation where Ethan Nwaneri leaves the club and isn’t signing a new contract.”

Arsenal’s most important deal of the summer

Arsenal have been very busy over the last few weeks.

The Gunners have already signed three players, while Noni Madueke, Cristhian Mosquera and Viktor Gyokeres are all expected to come in as well.

The Swede, in particular, will be a key signing if the deal goes through, but in the grand scheme of things, Arsenal’s most important deal of the summer would be a new contract for Nwaneri.

Losing the 18-year-old would be a disaster for Mikel Arteta’s side. He is a phenomenal talent, one who has the potential to become a superstar in the coming years.

After extending Lewis-Skelly’s contract, Nwaneri’s deal is of utmost importance. Hearing that he is close to extending is great news for Arsenal fans.
