£77.5million star now offered to Manchester United–Report

Sesko and Haaland

Every summer transfer window provides a complex set of possibilities, almost like playing a game of poker.

Every club needs to analyze permutations and combinations as they identify potential transfer targets.

News –Report – Man Utd could bid £45.2m in final hours to secure signing

However, it just doesn’t depend on them though as different clubs being interested in the same player alters the dynamics completely.

For example, one player both Arsenal and Man Utd were interested in for some time now is Viktor Gyokeres of Sporting CP.

Eventually, the Gunners managed to convince him to move to the Emirates and the deal is nearing the finish line. In all likelihood, the Swede is set to become the new number nine of Mikel Arteta’s team.

Now, as per TBR Football, the other striker Arsenal were interested in, Benjamin Sesko, has now been offered to Manchester United.

Valued at £77.5million, RB Leipzig view the Slovenian striker as a premium asset and although expensive, Man Utd might view him as a long-term solution to their number nine woes.

The report mentions that the moment Arsenal finalized Gyokeres, Sesko’s camp immediately began engaging with United, Liverpool, Chelsea, and Newcastle, with intermediaries actively offering his services to top-flight English clubs.

The 22-year-old has amassed 21 goals and 6 assists in 45 outings across competitions, reminding one and all of a young Erling Haaland who also tore up the Bundesliga with his performances for Dortmund.

Much like the Norwegian, Sesko has also played at RB Salzburg before and could make the jump to the Premier League.

Sesko presents an option for Manchester United that aligns with their need for a young, dynamic, and prolific frontman, and Christopher Vivell’s familiarity from the RB setup may smooth integration at Old Trafford. It could also be a factor that convinces the young striker to choose the Red Devils.

Leipzig are an excellent selling club and are unlikely to be influenced by the interest that Sesko is generating.

The Bundesliga club are likely to stick to their valuation of the 22-year-old and it is up to Manchester United to pay the fee and get the deal done if it comes to that.

Having already wrapped up the signing of Matheus Cunha, it is clear that Man Utd want to reinforce their attack this summer.

Signing Sesko will be a huge statement of intent and further proof that the club retain their ability to attract top talent. It remains to be seen how these negotiations play out.
