Now, as per Football Insider (h/t Manchester Evening News), Manchester United are interested in signing talented Juventus midfielder Douglas Luiz, with Everton likely to rival them for his signature. The Brazilian midfielder has had a forgettable time in the Serie A so far.
The 27-year-old is no stranger to the Premier League, having previous played for Aston Villa. Back then, Luiz was considered one of the best midfield prospects in the league and he impressed for Unai Emery’s side. However, at Juventus, he has not managed to get going.
Luiz made just 27 appearances for Juventus last season, with injuries and a general lack of trust stopping him from becoming a regular feature. That said, he is still young enough to make the move back to the Premier League and can add a lot of quality to the Manchester United midfield.

The report mentions that despite the Toffees’ interest in the player, Man Utd are currently ahead of them in the race and are willing to negotiate a loan deal with a provision to buy to convince Juventus to part ways with him this summer. This could work out to be an astute move for the English club.
