NORTHBROOK, Illinois – Texas State running back Lincoln Pare was named to the 2025 Allstate AFCA Good Works Team as announced by Allstate and the American Football Coaches Association (AFCA) Tuesday. The list includes 197 nominees, a record-breaking number from all levels of the sport, who are recognized for their commitment to community service and leadership beyond the gridiron.
Pare is a vital part of the Texas State football program, overcoming a season-ending injury in 2023 to return in 2024 and be named the First Responder Bowl MVP and a nominee for the College Sports Communicators Comeback Player of the Year. He has a team first attitude and is always one of the first to volunteer for community engagement events and be a positive brand ambassador for Texas State Athletics and the university as a whole.
He graduated in May of 2024 with a bachelor's in integrated studies and is currently working toward his master's in interdisciplinary students. Pare is a member of the Texas State Dean's List, a Bobcat Excellence Award Winner and was twice named to the Sun Belt Academic Honor Roll. While at TXST, and previously Arkansas State, Pare regularly participates in service activities at local schools and volunteered for the city of Jonesboro.
On the field, Pare played in all 13 games in 2024 and led the Bobcats with eight rushing TDs (8th SBC) off 95 carries and 554 yards. He was third on the team in total offense and fifth with 688 all-purpose yards. He was previously one of two Bobcats named to Dave Campbell's Texas Football All-Texas College Teams ahead of the 2025 season.
For the second year, Allstate is partnering with the Wuerffel Foundation to align two of college football's most meaningful honors: the Allstate AFCA Good Works Team and the Allstate Wuerffel Trophy. Together, they recognize student-athletes who demonstrate excellence in community service, academics and athletics.
The final roster of 23 award recipients announced in September will bring together:
11 players from the NCAA FBS
11 players from the NCAA Football Championship Subdivision (FCS), Divisions II, III and the National Association of Intercollegiate Athletics (NAIA)
1 honorary head coach
A voting panel of former Good Works Team members, head coaches and journalists select the team roster based on outstanding leadership on and off the field.
