Transfer news LIVE: Arsenal face Gyokeres delay, Eze bid; Liverpool open Isak talks; Rodrygo; Man Utd latest

Viktor Gyokeres, Alexander Isak and Eberechi Eze

Targets: Viktor Gyokeres, Alexander Isak and Eberechi Eze

Arsenal are aiming to confirm three huge deals this week as the summer window steps up another gear. Talks over a £63million move for Viktor Gyokeres are nearing a conclusion as Sporting hold out for 'realistic' add-ons. Noni Madueke has undergone a medical before joining for £52m and Cristhian Mosquera has arrived to finalise his move. A bid for Eberechi Eze is now expected.

Liverpool have already spent upwards of £220m this summer and are willing to spend another £120m on Alexander Isak after lodging their interest with Newcastle, while telling the Magpies that they will take No1 striker target Hugo Ekitike out of their grasp if they fail to land the Sweden star. Real Madrid’s Rodrygo is also of interest to Liverpool and Arsenal.

Morgan Gibbs-White is reportedly determined to join Tottenham this summer despite Nottingham Forest's attempts to stop a £60million move.

Spurs last week triggered Gibbs-White's release clause and the player was due to undergo a medical at the club on Friday, only for the deal to be thrown into significant doubt following objections from Forest.

The delay has instead seen Gibbs-White report for pre-season duty with Forest on Monday, with a photo of the player arriving posted on the club's social media channels. The midfielder is also believed to have arrived for training on Tuesday.

The Times report that Gibbs-White is ready for a new challenge and is keen to play in the Champions League. Forest looked set to qualify for the competition only for a late-season collapse, which saw them win just two of their last eight Premier League games and drop from third to seventh.

The same report adds that the Premier League has not given a timeline for when the Gibbs-White case will be concluded.

The Sun and Sky Sports both claim that Forest have for a year attempted to tie Gibbs-White down to a new contract, with a view to increasing or even removing his release clause, but the player is not interested, and is keen to join Spurs.

Arsenal’s priority after completing their deal for Viktor Gyokeres is reportedly to bring in an attacking midfielder, and Eberechi Eze remains top of that list.

With the Gunners edging ever closer to finalising a deal for the Sporting striker, a formal approach to Crystal Palace regarding England international Eze could happen in the near future, according to journalist Ben Jacobs.

In addition, the report states that Arne Slot is an admirer of the Brazil international and is driving the club's interest in the winger who can operate on either flank.

Liverpool have reportedly made an approach to sign Alexander Isak, though Newcastle appear to remain adamant that he is not for sale.

The prolific Sweden international was known to be a key target for Arne Slot’s reigning Premier League champions as they seek the addition of a new top-level centre-forward before the window closes on September 1, having already spent £116million on Florian Wirtz and also signed the likes of Milos Kerkez, Jeremie Frimpong and Giorgi Mamardashvili.

Darwin Nunez is expected to leave Anfield amid ongoing links to clubs in Italy and Saudi Arabia, while Luis Diaz is said to have informed Liverpool of his desire to move on after a £58.5m bid for his services from Bayern Munich was rejected.

Fabrizio Romano has reported that Napoli have communicated to Liverpool that they are no longer interested in Darwin Nunez.

The Serie A champions had previously been extremely keen to bring the Uruguayan to Italy, but now, with the pending arrival of Lorenzo Lucca from Udinese, Napoli’s interest in the Reds striker has cooled.

The Sun report that Vincent Kompany is a big fan of the Crystal Palace midfielder and wants to raid the south Londoners once more after he bought Michael Olise from the Eagles last summer.

The Portuguese international spent last season on loan at the Old Lady, and the Serie A side have now moved to trigger his €30m release clause, according to Sky Italia.

Furthermore, this could be a blow to Manchester United’s hopes of selling Jadon Sancho, with Juventus being the unwanted wide man’s most likely destination.

The Argentine midfielder moved to Villa from Juventus as part of the deal that saw Douglas Luiz go the other way to Turin, but he has failed to gain regular game-time at Villa Park, and found himself on loan at Valencia last season.

Now, he will be leaving the Birmingham side on loan again initially, although there is a €15m obligation to buy in that deal.
