Everton could be about to offer Sergio Reguilon a chance to extend his stay in the Premier League.
The 28-year-old is now a free agent, having been released by Tottenham earlier this summer, after his contract with the North London outfit expired.
Everton are one of the clubs that are keen on the idea of signing Reguilon, with the likes of Bournemouth and West Ham also showing an interest in the former Spanish international.
The left-back fell badly out of favour at Spurs and has been sent out on loan on several occasions in the last few years, but now it seems that David Moyes could be preparing to hand him an opportunity with the Toffees.

Reguilon to receive two-year deal with the option of an extra year
Mark Travers recently became the third signing of Everton’s summer, and Moyes will surely be keen to strengthen the squad further as he bids to lift the team up the table next term.
MORE TOFFEES STORIES
The Merseysiders need to add another left-back to compete with Vitaliy Mykolenko, and now Reguilon has emerged as a potential option.
The former Real Madrid man’s experience will be a huge attraction for the Toffees, and the obvious boost of not having to pay a transfer fee could make him an ideal option.
Ex-Goodison scout Bryan King – speaking exclusively to Goodison News – believes that Reguilon could represent a shrewd piece of business, and he expects Everton to make him an offer in the near future.
“He (Reguilon) is still only 28 years old,” King said.
“With the clubs he’s played for, that level of experience, I think he could be a very good addition for Everton. I think he’ll be offered a two-year contract, with an option for another year.
“It’s a chance to bring in a player who is going to cost nothing, but he’s experienced. He didn’t make it at Tottenham, and he’s looking for a new challenge. Everton is a good football club to join. If I were him, I’d consider it.”

Reguilon would be a great signing for Everton
Moyes has gained a reputation over the years for being a manager who is capable of finding value in unexpected sources, and we could be about to see that again with Reguilon.
The defender has been discarded by Spurs in the last few seasons, having made just six competitive appearances for the Lilywhites since the end of the 2021/22 campaign.

Reguilon’s stats in English football.
However, he still possesses the quality and nous to be an effective player at Premier League level.
He has spent time at some of Europe’s biggest clubs, and Moyes will surely back himself to help him rediscover the form that he showed during the early stages of his time in England.
A move for Reguilon would be something of a gamble, given the lack of football he has played recently, but it could turn out to be a masterstroke from the Toffees.
