5 clubs now want Manchester United player – Possible Red Devils boost

Real Betis want to sign Manchester United’s Antony, after he impressed for them while on loan this year.

Last week, we covered claims from Spain that the Red Devils plan to sell him for €35m this summer.

The La Liga side can’t afford this and want to take the winger on a new loan, with different terms and an option to buy. This doesn’t suit Manchester United, who insist on a purchase obligation if they are to sanction another loan.

Wednesday’s AS reports the 25-year-old has ended his vacation and travelled to England to negotiate his future with Manchester United.

It’s claimed the Brazil international will give his approval to any sort of formula to return to Real Betis. He will communicate the same to Ruben Amorim’s side during talks.

Online, AS add that although Antony is interested in returning to Real Betis, he has to take a pay cut.

The Andalusian club are willing to take Antony on loan with an obligation to buy 50% of his rights. In other words, the Premier League club will retain a 50% sell-on clause.

AS report Manchester United are taking this into consideration while waiting to see if they receive other offers.

Wednesday’s edition of Diario de Sevilla states the English club don’t plan to loan him out because five clubs are keen on signing him. They don’t provide their details but state two of those club are from Spain.
