Arsenal have reached an agreement in principle with Ethan Nwaneri over a new deal, according to Fabrizio Romano.
Nwaneri burst onto the scene in recent years, and despite his age, he's already an established member of Mikel Arteta's senior squad. Nwaneri became the youngest-ever Premier League footballer in September 2022 at the age of 15, and he's gone from strength to strength since then.
The England youth international is comfortable playing out wide or through the middle in a number 10 role, making him a useful option for Arteta. The youngster is yet to become a guaranteed starter at the Emirates Stadium, but considering he's only recently turned 18, he still has plenty of time to stake his claim.

Nwaneri, described as 'phenomenal' by Breaking The Lines, was attracting interest from Chelsea in recent weeks. Despite potential interest from other clubs, Nwaneri looks set to stay with the north London outfit, and it's no surprise that they wanted to tie him down to a new deal, considering his vast potential.
Although Arsenal are busy in the summer transfer market, tieing down some of their key players is just as important, and Nwaneri is the type of player they can build around for the next five to 10 years.
