Report: Wolves eyeing Spanish gem who scored four goals in a semi-final this summer, he has…

Wolves are after bolstering their squad in the coming weeks and the rumours are now coming thick and fast.

In recent days, all eyes have been on Jhon Arias who appeared all set to become Wolves’ second signing of the summer.

That transfer is still on track, although it is not as advanced as was first suggested. Arias is actually ready to accept a pay reduction to sign for Wolves.

Fer Lopez has already signed for Wolves, and yesterday played his first game against Santa Clara which finished 2-1 to the Portuguese side.

Wolves are also actively pursuing full-backs, with talks ongoing for Marc Pubill and also Georgios Vagiannidis.

But Wolves remain in the market for those exciting attacking gems – and now have eyes on Real Betis talent Pablo Garcia.

Estadio Deportivo have reported that Wolves are interested in Pablo Garcia of Real Betis.

It is stated that Wolves are ‘determined’ to bet ‘heavily’ on the 18-year-old, who has a release clause of around £25 million.

MORE WOLVES STORIES

Wanderers will likely hope to land him for less than that – especially having already slightly overpaid for Lopez this summer.

Garcia is already back in pre-season training with Betis, and it is claimed that he sacrificed ‘a large part of his holidays to put himself under the orders of Manuel Pellegrini’.

Wolves have scouted Garcia extensively and will now get to work on trying to sign him according to Estadio Deportivo, and will speak with both his agent and Real Betis.

Right winger Garcia made headlines earlier this summer when he hit four goals and one assist in a single game against Germany at the U19 European Championships for Spain.

That haul helped Spain reach the final, where they then came unstuck against the Netherlands.

Real Betis not about to roll over for Wolves over Garcia

Wolves may have identified Garcia – who scored eight goals and made five assists last season for Betis Deportivo – as a potential incoming, but it may not be that they are able to sign him too cheaply.

Estadio Deportivo include quotes from the club’s sporting director in their report about the gem.

Manu Fajardo said: “Obviously, when a player comes in that upward line, there are teams that ask, but Betis’ doors regarding Pablo García are closed.

“We trust 200% in his good work on and off the pitch. And, as part of the entity, we are aware of helping Pablo so that, as I said before, he continues to grow, but within a training process.”

We all know Wolves love a talented young player with a high ceiling, so we’ll see if the club are able to make something happen.
