Manchester United player ‘increasingly certain’ he can leave on loan – Legal action against club floated

Manchester United’s Marcus Rashford is pushing to join Barcelona this summer.

Four days ago, AS reported the Red Devils have set a €48m price. They also explained Xavi Hernández’s agent Arturo Canales is working an intermediary on the case.

Wednesday’s edition of Sport reports the battle between the 27-year-old and Manchester United is ‘getting tougher’.

The England international isn’t part of Ruben Amorim’s plans and isn’t allowed to train with the rest of the squad. Instead, he has to arrive for training at 5pm, after the first team finish.

Manchester United are said to be providing him the necessary facilities and assistance in order to ‘comply with regulations’.

The newspaper states: ‘Rashford’s entourage has even considered whether his rights as a professional footballer with a contract were being violated, something that could lead him to sue United to terminate his contract and receive his full salary until 2028.’

It’s clear Rashford has no future at Old Trafford. Manchester United are growing impatient as the player holds out for Barcelona.

The attacker wants to pick his destination, and Sport say Rashford is ‘increasingly certain’ he can leave on loan for a reasonable price.

Manchester United are desperate to cut ties with Rashford, while Barca don’t seem to be in a rush. Therefore, this saga may drag on for a while yet.
