Longstaff’s record at Newcastle last season.

Leeds don’t have much Premier League experience in the middle of the park, with Ethan Ampadu the only player who has played in the English top flight previously.

The Whites suffered massively last season after the injuries to Wales international and Ilia Gruev, and had to sign Josuha Guilavogui in October, showcasing the lack of depth in the midfield.

Farke should ask for more midfield transfers at Leeds after Elland Road exits

Joe Rothwell has joined Rangers this summer after being a key player for the West Yorkshire outfit as they won the Championship title.

Farke will arguably be without one of his most influential midfielders from last season after Premier League promotion, and undoubtedly should ask for more additions after Longstaff.

The Whites will evidently require a lot of depth in their squad to handle the rigours of the English top flight as they look to avoid immediate relegation.

It will be interesting to see who the West Yorkshire outfit will pursue to strengthen their team in LS11 before the end of August.
