Fabio Vieira’s time at Arsenal could be coming to an end. Reportedly, his agent is looking into possibilities of leaving the club.
The player has not had a huge amount of game time since arriving from Porto in 2022. He has struggled under Mikel Arteta thus far. He has had some competition for places in midfield whilst there.
Now, Arsenal are pushing for new signings. So, Vieira’s chances of regular minutes look slim. His camp has now opened talks with clubs across Europe. That also includes sides in Germany and Turkey. He wants to find him a new home where he can play more regularly.
Although, those talks are still early, the level of interest suggests a move is likely. PL clubs are also tracking his situation. One of the manager is said to be a long-time admirer of Vieira’s technical quality.
Arsenal Face Decision Over Vieira’s Future
Several clubs are exploring both loan and permanent deals for Vieira. An Italian Serie A side have apparently made an offer for about €18m. That is the same structure that they used for Nuno Tavares.
Arsenal don’t want to sell him for that little. They still see him as a player who may have huge potential. An inquiry was also received from a Bundesliga side for a loan. But, that’s dependent on other deals in the market.
Vieira has more than enough talent and footballing intelligence. He can match some of the best midfielders on and off the pitch in European football. However, injuries and competition affected his progress in his time at Arsenal.
It’s now clear that he may benefit from a change, and play regularly elsewhere.
