Noni Madueke has signed his Arsenal contract, with only the official announcement of his transfer from Chelsea still remaining.

Fabrizio Romano reports that Noni Madueke has signed his Arsenal contract to June 2030, the final step in completing his transfer to the Gunners. The only thing left is the official announcement, which Romano says will follow next.

Madueke was filmed arriving for his Arsenal medical earlier this week, with reports suggesting he passed the tests.

Romano then added that Arsenal and Chelsea had countersigned all the relevant documents for Madueke’s transfer, and the player has now signed on the dotted line as well.

Madueke will join Arsenal for a £52m total package, with an initial £48m fee and another £4m in add-ons.

David Ornstein had reported last week that Madueke had been granted permission by Chelsea to leave their Club World Cup camp in the USA and travel back to the UK for a medical with Arsenal.

Chelsea were playing in the Club World Cup final against PSG on Sunday night, but Madueke wasn’t part of the squad for that match.

Arsenal are moving for Madueke to add depth to their wide options ahead of the 2025/26 campaign, though they’ll have to wait a while to add the winger to their pre-season squad.

Even with Madueke cutting short his Chelsea campaign by a few days, it will still be August before his mandatory holiday period is over and he can link up with his new teammates.

Arsenal are still pursuing other attacking additions, with reports that their interest in Eberechi Eze is independent of their pursuit of Madueke, and an agreement for Viktor Gyokeres almost finalised.
