Manchester City continue to look for opportunities in the transfer market.
Pep Guardiola wanted four to five new faces to arrive at the Etihad Stadium ahead of the 25/26 campaign after a disappointing season last time around, and the legendary coach has seen that target reached, although the Manchester club might not be done.
Man City still plan to add a right-back to their squad before the Premier League gets back underway in August, but their search has not been going to plan.
This will be City’s priority, but other opportunities may arise between now and the end of the transfer window, with one 17-year-old talent in League 2 being a player of particular interest.

Arsenal join the race for Salford City striker Will Wright
It was reported at the start of this month that Man City are ready to hijack Liverpool’s move for Salford City star Will Wright, with the Reds said to be very keen on the striker, having already made an offer for the youngster.
This bid has yet to be accepted by the League Two club, which has left Man City to consider making a rival proposal for Wright, which is understood to be in excess of £100,000 plus add-ons.

Will Wright scored 50 goals last season
Goalscorers are hot property in the football world at present, and therefore, many clubs are on the lookout for the next big star, which is how many view Wright.
The 17-year-old scored over 50 goals at all levels for the League Two club last season, which helped the Englishman make his debut for Salford City against Manchester City in the third round of the FA Cup in January.
In addition to the Premier League trio, Brentford, Leicester City, and Burnley are also believed to have enquired about the Salford star, but at present, it is believed that the youngster’s preference is to join Liverpool over Guardiola’s squad.
