Tottenham have now set their asking price for Yves Bissouma at €23-25m but could be helped out by West Ham United pushing to sign Douglas Luiz.
That’s according to Tuttosport, who report that Bissouma is still being considered by Juventus as they look to strengthen this summer.
They explain that Bissouma is seen as the more affordable option to bolster their midfield as Tottenham value him at €23-25m. That’s a far from prohibitive figure for the Italian club, but they need to complete the sale of Douglas Luiz first.
He’s being targeted by West Ham, with reports throughout this week, including today, stating that the Hammers are at the front of the queue for the Brazilian midfielder. Juventus are keen to move him on after a miserable year in Turin following his move from Aston Villa last summer.
If they can get that deal over the line, it would give them the funds to then push to sign Bissouma from Tottenham.
Now we would point out that Spurs’ apparent asking price has been all over the place when it comes to Bissouma. Some have had it as low as €15m while Tuttosport say it is now as much as €25m.
So, it remains to be seen what the actual price is, if Juventus make a definitive move for him at any point. For now, it appears to be a case of wait and see on both fronts.
