Man Utd-linked ace who stood out at Club World Cup is subject to ‘bid’ from Premier League club, ‘worth nearly…’

A Manchester United-linked midfielder has now been subjected to fierce transfer interest from three European clubs this summer amid the race to sign him, according to stunning reports.

Ruben Amorim is currently revamping his Manchester United first-team squad this summer ahead of the pre-season tour and the 2025-26 Premier League campaign.

The 40-year-old United manager has had one major summer signing arrive through the doors at Old Trafford after the acquisition of Matheus Cunha from Wolves.

United signed Matheus Cunha for £62.5m in June after triggering the player’s release clause at Wolves and the Red Devils are still pursuing Bryan Mbeumo this summer.

Along with United’s interest in Brentford ace Bryan Mbeumo, the Red Devils are expected to sign both a new midfielder and a striker in the summer transfer window.

United are in need of further squad depth for Ruben Amorim in the middle of the park after Christian Eriksen left Old Trafford after his contract expired this summer.

Benfica’s pursuit of Richard Rios and Roma’s current stance on the Palmeiras midfielder amid Man Utd and Nottingham Forest’s interest

TEAMtalk reports that Benfica are now prepared to ‘accelerate talks’ with Palmeiras for Richard Rios and the Portuguese outfit want to ‘close the deal quickly.’

It is believed that the Primeira Liga side view the Nottingham Forest-linked player as the ‘ideal replacement’ for Orkun Kokcu, who was recently loaned to Besiktas.

Benfica have challenged Forest and United by sending ‘an offer’ that has a ‘very competitive package,’ with the Portuguese club coming ‘close’ to a ‘€30m figure.’

The club’s offer also included bonuses and Benfica want a deal in place ‘as soon as possible’ for Rios, who is under contract with Brazilian side Palmeiras until 2028.

Roma were linked with Rios in recent weeks and it is claimed that the Serie A club have ‘backed out’ of a move for the player after their €25m offer was turned down.
