The Turkish journalist said the Istanbul giants have been working on a deal for Ederson for over a week. A big offer from Saudi Arabia has arrived, but his family aren’t keen on such a move.
Çınar went on to say they are negotiating with Ederson over his personal terms and that they want him to drop his current salary demands.
_“Ederson is the goalkeeper candidate that Galatasaray has been working on for the last 10 days. In my opinion, Ederson is No. 1 among the goalkeeper candidates, but there is an offer of €25m from Saudi Arabia for the player. However, he and his family are not very keen on going to Arabia. What he wants from Galatasaray is €10-15m. Galatasaray thinks that he will finish this transfer in the 8-10 million range,”_ said the journalist.
It’s been widely reported Galatasaray are looking to a sign an experienced goalkeeper after club legend Fernando Muslera returned to Uruguay last month.
Ederson looks to be the latest target for the Istanbul giants after they were linked with a number of high-profile goalkeepers in recent weeks.
The Brazilian made 40 appearances in all competitions last season and is contracted to Manchester City until June 2026.
