Arsenal have made internal discussions about this deal. They have also talked to the agent of the player. However, they have not submitted an official offer for him. Many Journalists in Europe have reported that, “Eze is on Arsenal’s list this summer, high among creative targets,”
The Gunners want to lower the transfer fee. Also, a swap deal may be planned. Players like Reiss Nelson, Nuno Tavares have been discussed if a swap happens.

Hurdles in the Deal –
Eberechi Eze has a £68 million release clause in his contract. However, with bonus based on performance it can go higher. That is a huge price for any player with not many top level seasons. Still Palace know Eze’s market value. He is in his prime. He can play in any attacking position. Also, he adds pace, flair and goals to the team. Palace are not in pressure to sell him, they can wait till a good offer comes or else they are happy to keep him at the club.
Player’s Viewpoint
Eze has not said anything openly about this move. However, reports say that he will be open to move if the right club comes. In his past interviews he mentioned to play for a top club one day. Also, he was a past player at Arsenal’s youth Academy. In the past he has also said, “My dream was to play for Arsenal when I was a kid,” Thus, he will be very excited if he Arsenal signs him.
Author’s Opinion
Eberechi Eze will be a top level signing for Arsenal. He is fast, skillful and confident on the ball. The Gunners want a creative player and Eze is that player who can bring creativity to the team. However, £68 million is a huge money. It is risky for the club unless they are very sure about the success of the signing. If they sign Eze, they might need to check their bills if they want more players for other positions.
Crystal Palace know their player’s worth and want to make a good profit by this deal. If Arsenal want him they must pay or else Palace are happy to keep him at the club.
It will be interesting to see how the deal goes. Will Arsenal Pay the release clause? Can they structure it in a way Palace will like? Where Will Eberechi Eze Play next season?
