Chelsea and Aston Villa have conducted plenty of transfer business with each other in recent times.
The likes of Axel Disasi, Ian Maatsen and Carney Chukwuemeka have moved between Chelsea and Villa in recent years in a variety of different deals.
Could we be about to see the Premier League rivals conduct more business this summer?
Chelsea striker Nicolas Jackson, 24, is linked with a potential exit in this current window.
It’s previously been claimed that Villa may be interested in signing Jackson this summer. Meanwhile, there is a concrete possibility that Jackson leaves Chelsea after slipping behind new signings Joao Pedro and Liam Delap in the pecking order.
As for Morgan Rogers, the 22-year-old Villa attacking midfielder is liked by people at Stamford Bridge.
Reports last month shared that Enzo Maresca likes £80m-rated Chelsea target Rogers, who previously played in Manchester City’s academy alongside Delap, Cole Palmer and Romeo Lavia.

Chelsea will make Morgan Rogers bid if Aston Villa move for Nicolas Jackson
Matt Law, the respected journalist, has delivered a key detail on potential transfer business involving Chelsea and Villa.

If the Blues receive an approach from Villa for Jackson, they will instantly respond by making an offer for Rogers.
Law said on The London Is Blue podcast: “I’m not told by anyone at Chelsea, but I’m told by people on the outside that if Villa do go for Nicolas Jackson, it will immediately trigger a bid for Morgan Rogers from Chelsea.”
Jason Cundy expects Jackson to leave because it looks like he’s slipped down the pecking order under Maresca.
Of course, Rogers wouldn’t be a like-for-like replacement because the Villa man plays as a No.10 or a winger. It’s interesting to note that he outperformed the Chelsea striker last season as an attacking threat, though.

Morgan Rogers is too good to be on the bench
It’s a long, long way to go before Chelsea supporters can get excited about the idea of Rogers playing for them, but it’s interesting to hear there’s a way the club could bid for him this summer.
In reality, the England international would surely have to go into the Blues XI if the club splashed the cash for him.
We could picture Rogers slotting into the Chelsea line-up on the left wing, which would be bad news for new Blues recruit Jamie Gittens.
Of course, the Villa playmaker is a top talent destined for huge things. However, Chelsea’s focus should be on other areas of the pitch, especially at left-back, during the rest of the summer window.
