Rapid loan exit from Brighton on cards for Yoon Do-young

Eredivisie newcomers Excelsior are in negotiations with Brighton and Hove Albion for Yoon Do-young.

That’s according to Algemeen Dagblad, [via Soccer News](https://www.soccernews.nl/news/in-beom-hwang-regelt-rotterdamse-transfer/), who cover the situation today and how a Feyenoord player has been helping the Dutch club.

Yoon is considered one of Asia’s brightest prospects and swapped his childhood club Daejeon Hana Citizen in South Korea for Brighton this summer.

He’s very much one for the future, though, and that could see him loaned out to gain experience and establish himself in Europe. Excelsior are keen on a loan deal and talks between Brighton and the Dutch club are underway.

Feyenoord have also been involved, though, with their star In-beom Hwang putting in a good word it seems.

“Perhaps Hwang has put in a good word for Rotterdam,” technical director Niels van Duinen is quoted as saying. He also confirmed the interest in the Brighton youngster.

“But there are other contenders,” he added. The belief is that Excelsior have to contend with several other Dutch sides for the 18-year-old. AD, though, say that Excelsior are out in front and “have the best case for this proposed loan agreement” at this moment in time.

It’s a situation to keep an eye on in the coming weeks, with Yoon Do-young seemingly on the exit list despite only arriving on the south coast this summer.
