The name on the lips of Wolves fans is Jhon Arias, who is the Old Gold’s top transfer target at present.
Wolves had an opening bid for Arias rejected by Fluminense, who are desperate to keep hold of their star player.
The 27-year-old has other ideas, having been at Fluminense since 2021, the player is dreaming of a move to Europe for the first time in his career.
A transfer won’t be easy to pull off, but Wolves aren’t giving up on Arias, with it reported that the Old Gold will return with an improved offer for the winger.

Jhon Arias is talking about Wolves transfer at Fluminense
Vitor Pereira will be desperate to bolster his attack this summer following the departure of Matheus Cunha.
Arias can be the figure to restore the excitement at Molineux, but first, Fluminense must let their guard down.
It’s well documented that Arias wants a Premier League move, even rejecting a huge wage increase in favour of making the move to the West Midlands, with the player’s wishes communicated back in Rio de Janeiro.
After starring at the Club World Cup, Arias and Fluminense returned to the Carlos Castilho Training Centre, something Brazilian outlet Terra has documented.
MORE WOLVES STORIES
It’s understood that the winger has already ‘requested his release’ to the Fluminense board, making his reasons known.
Terra note that during conversations over Arias’ future, the Colombian ‘argued’ that it’s now time for Fluminense to ‘give back’ to him after years of dedication to the club.
Wolves aren’t ready to walk away from Arias, and the player feels the same, with all signs pointing to his transfer to Molineux – if a fee can be agreed.
Wolves have already rejected one Fluminense request
Fluminense have already rejected Wolves, and as per Terra, Wolves have already rejected Fluminense.
The Brazilian club are believed to have wanted Wolves to wait until August to sign Arias, a request that the Old Gold turned down.
The Premier League side know how determined the player is to complete the move, as Arias will accept a wage cut to sign for Wolves, in rather incredible circumstances.
What’s left to be done is for the two clubs to come to an agreement on the player’s valuation, with everything else seemingly in place.
