[The Daily Express](https://x.com/CParkerTurner/status/1945160117193744911) claim that, while the Blues are keen on the 19-year-old, they are yet to make a concrete offer to sign him, while Bundesliga duo Hoffenheim and Freiburg have both made loan offers ahead of the 2025/26 campaign.
Brighton are still assessing their options - it remains to be seen whether or not he will be integrated into their team or sent out on loan once again, following last season's spell at Sturm Graz.

Yalcouye joined the Seagulls from IFK Goteburg in 2024, although he is yet to make an appearance for them.
The one-cap Ivory Coast Under-23 international, who was born in Mali, bagged four goals and one assist as Sturm Graz won the Austrian Bundesliga, going on to be named as the league's 'Newcomer of the Season' and featuring in their Team of the Season. He also featured eight times in the Champions League.

**Alex's verdict**
This one comes from a reliable source and makes sense, given the recruitment links between Brighton and Ipswich. The report doesn't say whether Ipswich would look to offer a loan, but that seems far more likely than a permanent move,
Jeremy Sarmiento and Julio Enciso have both stood out on loan at Portman Road in the last couple of seasons. The Seagulls know what their young players will get in Suffolk, working under Kieran McKenna.
Yalcouye is a very different profile of midfielder. He's agile, attacking but quite short, standing at just 5'7'. That would worry me in a midfield next to Azor Matusiwa, who's only around an inch taller than him.
But he has impressed out on loan in a successful team, which isn't always easy for a player of his age to do.
It sounds like Town are a bit behind some of the other teams chasing him, but he'd be a welcome addition if he did join.
